BUHS TSW students got a front-row seat to real-world career pathways during Career Day! 🎓✨
We were excited to host speakers from Someburros for career exploration and the City of Buckeye to learn about the Master Transit System currently being developed. Nearly 200 students from TSW and Future Ready classes engaged in the presentation and took full advantage of the Q&A session, asking thoughtful questions and exploring what their futures could hold.

BUHS Gear Up Coach Mindy Seymour proudly attended the graduation ceremony for nine BUHS Class of 2025 alumni, who completed Grand Canyon University’s Electrician Certificate Program.
Selected through a highly competitive process, these students put in the work, completed a 16-credit certificate, and are already seeing the payoff - all nine have received job offers to begin their apprenticeship journey.

Nearly 1,000 students explored 55 tables and connected with 70 guests representing career pathways, community organizations, colleges, and our own CTE programs.
Our visitors shared amazing feedback about how engaged and curious our students were, asking great questions and taking real steps toward their future!

Our Buckeye Union High School Welding students had an incredible adventure in Holbrook at Welding Thunder! They showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and creativity - and they represented Buckeye with pride, bringing home both a Gold 🥇 and the People’s Choice Award!
This year’s challenge: build the Ultimate Rocket Stove, Griddle, and Grill, then fire it up on day two to cook a full meal and prove their design truly earned the title “ultimate.” Our Hawks rose to the challenge and delivered!
