BUHSD families, don’t forget that Wednesday, September 16 is an Early Release Day for Staff Professional Learning.
Classes will follow the regular schedule tomorrow - not the late-start schedule.
Dismissal times:

Celebrating Excellence at Buckeye Union High School!🎉
Last Friday, we celebrated Michael Haslanger at the Arizona Educational Foundation’s Back to School Breakfast, where he was recognized as one of the five finalists for the 2027 Arizona Teacher of the Year.
Michael’s journey began among 155 nominated teachers from across Arizona, making his way through a highly competitive selection process to become one of just five finalists.
While he was not selected as Arizona Teacher of the Year, Haslanger will continue representing Arizona’s educators as a 2027 Ambassador for Excellence - an incredible honor that recognizes his dedication to students, his profession, and the Buckeye Union High School community.
We are incredibly proud to have Mr. Haslanger representing Buckeye Union High School and BUHSD at large.

Buckeye Union High School proudly welcomed home one of its own this Memorial Day as Class of 1993 alum and current Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Carlos A. Ruiz returned to campus to visit with our JROTC students and staff.
From the classroom to the air rifle range, students had the incredible opportunity to engage with a leader whose journey began right here at BUHSD before going on to serve our nation at the highest levels of the United States Marine Corps.
