After Spring Break, BUHS teacher, Jeremy Rubel, took the lead in facilitating a National Board Certification Pre-Candidacy class for teachers across our district. Held on Monday evenings throughout April, the sessions provided teachers with an accessible and supportive entry point into the National Board Certification process.
The classes were offered free of charge to participants, removing barriers for teachers interested in pursuing this prestigious professional certification. In addition, completing the required coursework positions candidates to become eligible for funding support through the AZK12 Center as they continue their National Board journey.
Through his leadership and dedication, 22 teachers across the Buckeye Union High School District successfully began the National Board process this spring. Participants engaged in meaningful learning, reflection, and preparation that will help set them up for long-term success as they work toward certification.
We want to take a moment to celebrate and recognize the incredible job he has done facilitating this important work. His commitment to supporting professional growth has already made a significant impact, and the excitement continues to build. He has shared that interest in future cohorts is growing, demonstrating the strong momentum and enthusiasm among our educators for continued professional excellence.
We are grateful for Mr. Rubel's leadership and for the investment he has made in supporting teachers across our district. Initiatives like this strengthen not only individual educators, but our entire learning community.
