Today, we at Buckeye Union High School would like to recognize National Substitute Teacher Day and take a moment to appreciate the individuals who step into our classrooms when they’re needed. Substitute teachers help keep our school day moving forward, support students in their learning, and provide stability when regular teachers are away.
At BUHS, we value the way our substitutes contribute to our community. They bring their own strengths and experiences, and their willingness to show up - sometimes with very little notice -reflects the spirit of the 3 Bs of Buckeye: Believe, Belong, and Become. They help students feel supported, maintain a sense of belonging, and continue to grow even when their teacher is out.
To all of our substitute teachers: thank you for the work you do, the flexibility you show, and the time you give to our students and staff. Your efforts make a real difference!
